Terms & disclaimer
Last updated: May 10, 2026 · Governing contact: hello@mysoundmindcoach.com
1. Acceptance & website use
By browsing mysoundmindcoach.com (“Site”) you agree to these terms. If you disagree, discontinue use. I may update terms; “Last updated” reflects material revisions.
2. Nature of services
My Sound Mind Coach offers educational, collaborative mental health coaching delivered by Margie, a certified mental health coach. Coaching is not psychotherapy, psychiatry, psychology, counseling, or medical treatment. I do not diagnose, treat mental illness, prescribe medication, or provide crisis intervention through this Site.
3. No therapeutic or clinical relationship from browsing
Reading this Site, completing contact forms, or attending discovery calls does not automatically create a clinical relationship. A separate coaching agreement clarifies scope when we choose to work together.
4. Not for emergencies
If you or someone near you may be in danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. For mental health crisis support in the U.S., dial or text 988. Coaching sessions, email, and website forms are inappropriate emergency channels.
5. Client responsibilities
You remain responsible for decisions affecting your health, relationships, and livelihood. Coaching supports insight and experimentation but does not replace licensed care when that’s indicated. You agree to share accurate information and inform me if your clinical status changes materially.
6. Third-party tools
Scheduling, payment, video conferencing, or form providers maintain their own legal terms. You review those policies when engaging their interfaces.
7. Intellectual property
Site copy, layout, and custom graphics belong to My Sound Mind Coach unless noted. Please request permission before republishing substantial excerpts.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, My Sound Mind Coach and Margie are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Site or coaching services. Total liability for direct damages tied to paid coaching shall not exceed fees paid for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim during the three months preceding the event (customize with counsel). Some jurisdictions disallow certain limitations—those limits apply only to the minimum extent required.
9. Dispute resolution & governing law
Preferred governing law/state venue: replace this sentence after attorney review—for example “State of ________,” or mutually agreed arbitration/mediation clauses if your practice adopts them contractually alongside this Site boilerplate.
10. Accessibility & good-faith tweaks
Accessibility feedback helps me iterate; email suggestions to hello@mysoundmindcoach.com.
